Atlas .. from Baianat to the world.

Belonging to a technical community gave Baianat a realistic view of the current issues that face the people working in the field. Things like struggling to come up with a unique color palette, or having to write the same code for every project and even getting lost in strategy templates.

These issues faced Baianat designers, developers, and strategists alike. That’s why they started thinking critically about relieving those pains once and for all. Some of the solutions came out as projects and tools while others were an output for the thinking and sharing it was a duty to inspire the world, change a culture or make an impact.

Later on, all of these projects were collected under one place named Atlas. So everyone can dive deeper to find the tools they need for accelerating their processes. Atlas was meant to be updated regularly so it’s an ongoing project in which Baianat team collaborates with the community to bring more creative work and promising ideas into the world.

Atlas is divided into two logical categories. The projects launched and the coming soon projects that the team is currently working on to launch. There are also more tools and projects under planning to be included in the future.

For instance, designers can access Resources to find a lot of downloadable icons, UI Kits, Mockups and other types of materials that were designed and will be continuously updated to remain relevant to current community needs.

There are also Posters which was built to be a large inspiration library. It contains a collection of unique visual combinations from different art schools. They are applicable to social media projects or even brand identities. Assuming that designers already came up with a unique identity, posters could help them visualize and complete the overall look and feeling they came up with. Designers are free to crop, change colors and even copy certain elements from different posters to create something that matches with their overall identity.

Palettes doesn’t only contain new color combinations, it also contains the rations designers should be coloring with. So in the next illustration piece, they will no longer be puzzled by how much blue should be added to keep the design balanced. By clicking on the color, it’s snapped easily snap into the clipboard and ready to use it in Ai or PS projects.

And to support designers even further, Patterns came to contain a wide collection of pattern styles ranging from minimal to geometric. These patterns can be used in different creative works including brand identities, advertising, packaging and even for interior design projects.

There is also Logos, which is an encyclopedia that contains unique logo concepts. Starting with animals and regular shapes to the minimal logos school. With a search that gets smarter with every query, designers can find logo inspiration based on the brand initials, the industry or even the logo icon shape whether it’s a door, line or a wire.

And because scrolling through the whole color wheel to find a certain shade or tint wasted a lot of the designers time, they worked on solving it through Spectrum, a tool that is easily used by both designers and developers. It simply gets the HEX, HSL or RGB of any color and calculates  the color degrees needed. In case you’re puzzled, you can also generate random colors and use them directly.

Contrast is also a tool for both designers and developers that helps in the creation of accessible designs. The tool will calculate the contrast ratio displaying whether the status is good or bad for the user to read. It basically works as a validation for the color selection of backgrounds and texts and helps in the creation of colorful, yet functional designs.

For making sure that everything falls in place, Gridder and Ratiometer provides a calculation methods for grids and ratios. They can be easily integrated with AI, PS or downloadable as PNG.

Moving into the developers community, and as we believe in the power of open source in moving communities ahead, a lot of Open Source projects were made on the run to accelerate the process of development. They can be accessed through Baianat Official GitHub.

And as keywords are important for technicals of any field, Pedia contains all the terminologies and key terms that must be known in every field. The come with a collection of Quotes as well to inspire readers with the sayings of their field experts.

The team is currently working on launching Hues and Colors to provide a new perspective for coloring. Also a directory for all art schools, and character creators called dudes.

For strategists, there is an Agenda of the most important events of the year on a global level and a Modeler for creating diagrams and business models easily. And for Process enhancements, the team is working on a set of checklists and digraphs that would help visitors navigate.

And for more inspiration, visitors can check the whole world on Panorama to see the important landmarks and download it for later related projects. This project has three others similar to it. The first is Egyptos illustrating the egyptian culture, the second is Folklore where the traditions of the world local citizens is recorded and lastly Nostalgia, which will be tour to the giant industry leaders visual history.

Atlas will be under development and updates. The more comments Baianat gathers, the more it will be able to create more tools and projects out of inspiration. As mentioned earlier, Atlas is a shared project between Baianat and the whole world.
